Comptech parts-Headers and Exhaust

Thinking about installing Comptech headers and exhaust. Comptech's site says 27 increase in HP and 16% in torque.
Does not void Acura warranty???
How true is it?
Ernie
PS Got a price, (Schaumburg Illinois) $2,240 installed...too much?

Yes, it's true, will not void your warranty. That price seems kinda high. Is that the full cat-back exhaust or just the axle-backs?

if that price is for ct headers and full cat back exhaust, installed, its a great price.

1100 headers
1000 exhaust
--------
2100 parts

but if its just the axle backs (which I assume it is)... then its high

1100 headers
600 exhaust
------------
1700 parts

makes more sense that its the CT catback-exhaust not just the axlebacks... it just seems way too exp for the axlebacks

Not if you figure they are probably charging about $3-400 for installing the headers and then another $100 or so for the exhaust. And to correct Beet, the headers would be closer to $1250. So...

Headers $1250
Axle-backs $600
Total $1850 plus $440 for install.

Remember this is the dealer. They usually charge the MSRP.

Price is still to high though. You shouldn't pay more than $350 for the headers, which is on the expensive side. You should be able to install the mufflers yourself. I haven't done it, but I can't imagine it to be that difficult.

Comptech Heads And Exhaust

Thanks for the info guys.
But what about performance? Can I cut half a second off 0-60 and maybe .3 off of the quarter mile?
I thought I read that there were all kinds of probllems with "tuning" the Comptech heads, etc.
Thanks UNC TYPE-S for the Arlington Hts, Il Kwai shop.

look for around .4-.5 sec off your 1/4 with the headers, exhaust wont help your time at all

theres no probs w/ the comptech headers whatsoever...just bolt em on and you're good to go!!!

I HIGHLY recommend the headers...the icebox is a nice complement as well

Dont know where you got your info on that... comptech headers are made among the highest quality... You will not find any prblems what so ever none... as stated in the previous post bolt and and drive away.. Yes there are cheaper alternatives but are known to have problems with them.. Comptech will not have any issues... and they stand by their product
