comptech icebox..DIY or pay someone else?
comptech icebox..DIY or pay someone else?
got an icebox intake for my 01 CL. the install looks involved.... (like removing the bumper...R U serious???) is it easier than it sounds or am I better off taking to a shop/dealer?
you don't have to remove the bumpter but it makes it a little easier to work with... it was pretty easy to take the bumpter off.. if i remeber correctly directions to remove the bumper come with the icebox...

there's a panel under the stock airbox location that can be unscrewed and pulled back to gain access to the area behind the bumper where the elbow pipe connects to the comptech intake housing. opening up that panel will also allow you to remove the stock resonator box.
all you have to do is unscrew some of those plastic screws and pull out the clips. You'll see what i mean when you jack up the car and look under the front bumper.
