Comptech Ice Box for Accord??
Got a question that has more than likely been answered, however the search engine needs help (shawn, can we borrow your turny-clicky thing?) 
but...
ACP sells a Comptech Ice Box for the V6 98-02 accords...why does this not fit our blocks? Is the accord internal fender sheetmetal designed differently than the CL?
Just curious!

Did they tell you any info on it...like HP gains?? Is the CT ice box just like a regular CAI...can it still injest water and hydro lock the engin....and does it make the same sound as the AEM...or does it produce that UFO hum??

What is ACP's web address? I looked on comptechs website and they have it listed as being for the accord, but not for the CL??? I thought someone put a post up indicating that they Ice Box for the CL would not be available until June or July??

Nola: The icebox was behind glass in a different area of the show, no one was around to tlak about it, which is prolly why it was behind a glass case in the first place..... I woulda had it at the main booth so it could have been discussed.

not only that...if you look at it...its not like there's vacuum lines it just hooks up to the factory boot as near as i can tell...so...shouldnt be a problem....i think im gonna get one...anyone wanna buy a use RED AEM with bypass cut......honestly...call me an old fart but i wanna maintain the factory look and could live w/o the scream in the 6K range...now dont get me wrong...when its could that DEEP GROWL around 4k i dig....but i dont wanna tell the world im coming...

If you look on comptechs website, this Ice Box is listed under 1) the "under development" section and states it is for 98-02 Accord V6 and will be available soon and 2) under the Accord section under high flow intake and also says available soon. However, it is not listed under the CL section? Can anyone shed any more light on this subject?

Rumor has it this will be out RIGHT after the Supercharger for the CL is out. Comptech has stated that they would make a slightly different ICEBOX than the one that was to be included in the SC kit. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen, but don't expect this part to be out b4 the SC> IMO, they are losing some units of sale if they ahve the unit ready.
