Comptech Headers and Hi-Flow cat are on!!!

I just put my comptech's on today. The headers help out alot, up untill 4500 rpm I don't feel it, but once v-tec kicks in it pulls harder, and from 5800+ it pulls much harder. The best thing is that the car sounds just like it did with the stock headers, and the check engine light didn't turn on with the Hi-flow cat. Now i just gotta go to the track...

No more than 1.5 Inch back pressure per 100 CFM so it is hard to do better but possible. Considering that out cars do not flow more than about 400 CFM max and that you can only gain about 1 hp per 1 Inch reduction in backpressure, there is little to be had.

I bought the Hi-flow cat when I bought the headers. The headers were used and the guy I bought them from told me that he dynoed his car with an AEM CAI and the headers (stock cat) then added the Hi-flow cat and that the gain was minimal something like .8- 1 hp across the graph with even less gains in torque, but since he had bought the cat already he just left it on since there was no way of returning it, and it didn't lose any power anywhere across the graph.

I got my header on Friday and was driving all over the place to test out the new mod.

For me, it feels like the car is a bit more torqueier at mid-RPM. I can hear humming sound between 2600rpm - about 3500 rpm. I sounds great. My stock exhaust is also a bit more louder with deeper sound to it.

type-s on19's,

One question for you, on your sig, you said that you ran 13's w/o header. Is it a typo? I think that w/o NOS or S/C, it would be hard for any CLS (AT or MT) to run 13's.

But either way, I love my Comptech header too!!

Ooops sorry, how did I ever miss that?? My bad..

BTW, I'm thinking about getting NOS too, a cheaper alternative to the S/C, and I only have to spray when I want to..

If the cops don't get ya for speeding, they'll get ya for the 5% tint. Be careful.
