Comptech Headers on 6-speed CL 1/4 mile?

What's everyone running on their 6-speed cl's w/ comptech headers. I tried to do a search but didn't find much, mostly auto.

A 6 speed cl-s with headers should be able to achieve high 13's in the 1/4 mile, joe5.0 ran a 14.0 with just icebox and drag tires.

It depends on traction, & driver skill at the track. A 6mt with headers only should get you in the mid 14's. Headers & other bolt on's should net you low 14's.
Extream bolt on's like allmotor's will net you lower times.
As will a good 1/4 mile track driver like joe5.0 proves.

I thought stock 6MT run 14.5?

2002 Acura 3.2CL Type-S 6.8 15.0 - Auto.. obviously as its an 02.

I highly doubt that 2003 is a 6MT

dont see any other reason for an 03' to be 1/10th faster than an 02' unless its a 6spd.

why would the 2002 TL type-s be faster than both of them?

2002 Acura 3.2TL Type S 6.2 14.8

I don't know how much I trust that site.

Theres no need to base times from magazines, based on some of the results we have on the board a cl-s 6 speed with a good driver, headers, a good set of tires will achieve high 13's in the 1/4 mile. Many auto's have run low 14's with a few bolt ons and the 6 speed is about .5 faster stock. I myself ran a 14.3 with just intake and headers. (auto)

1/10th is nothing. The same car could run 5 back-to-back runs with the same driver and the same short times and run times that vary by more then 3/10ths.

lets not forget altitude.. I'm sure I'll get flamed but its real. Check out the NHRA. They have correction factor tables. I myself am at 3000ft+barometric pressure so my car will run marginally slower here than at sea level.

For example:

A 14.0 @ 101 MPH at 3,000 ft is a 13.61 @ 103.65

I guarantee mine would run 13's w/headers, but wont find out for sure.

I ran:
14.5 @ 96.5 110% bone stock
14.29 @ 98.5mph dr's on stock wheels
14.0 @ 98.8mph lightweight 17's w/same dr's, and icebox

It took ALOT of practice to get that 14.0, most of the runs were in the 14.1-14.2 range. I need wider/taller tires to absorb some shock and get 2.1 60's to break the 13's as it sits now.

www.car-stats.com is more accurate - Both are 2003's and they list the tranny

Transmission: Manual
1/4 Mile:
14.6

1/4 Speed:
98

0-60:
6.5
Transmission: Automatic
1/4 Mile:
14.9

1/4 Speed:
96

As I said driver skill comes into play & so does weather. Even with my fully modded 6mt I could only get a 14.4 in hot & humid south FL.
