Comptech Headers

I have a fairly new 6 sp cls (4200 miles), right now completely stock. Considering purchasing Comptech headers but wondering about a couple things:

1) Does it radically change the exhaust note? I have stock exhaust.

2) Will it cause rough idling?

3) Will it void the factory warranty?

4) Any gotchas I need to worry about?

I had mine installed a few weeks ago with about 11000 miles on the car.

They're awesome and very much worth it. The gains are noticeable, but primarily in the VTEC range. As said, you'll easily overpower the negligible 'grab' of your stock tires.

I did think the exhaust note changed, but not in a bad way. The tone became slightly deeper, but the volume did not increase (and no, I didn't have the IceBox yet). I didn't find the sound intrusive at all; the luxury stance of the CL-S is not modified at all. It won't give your car any sort of rice sound, if that's what you're worried about.

Idling is not altered.

The headers will give you a noticibe "kick in the ass", especially as you enter VTEC at WOT. This is the best mod for the money.

if you don't think your car is fast enough, and you are really thinking about the headers, get the comptech's now.

If I though more about it, I should have gotten them almost 3 years ago when I first got my cls. Now I don't want to invest any money in an older, discontinued, itching tranny vehicle.

do it now and get your enjoyment and money's worth!!!
