Comptech Header claim?

Is this additional 32HP that they claim here true? What does the CL actually put down to the wheels stock? Acura says 260hhp but, is this accurate? What does a CL put down with a comptech header, exhaust and cold air intake alone?

Polished stainless steel headers & downpipe
32hp<<< maximum gain, increased power from 4000 rpm
for years: 2001-03 CL and CL Type S (including 6-speed)
installation time: 2-3 hours
CARB legal

Acura says the CL puts out 260hp... that is at the crank. All car companies report crank HP, not wheel HP. The CL-S is putting down about 195-205HP to the wheel. Most dynos I've seen are in that range, which is accurate when you factor in the 20-25% power loss in the tranny.

The Comptech claim is pretty much true. The most I've ever seen dynoed was a 28hp gain to the wheels, which translates to about 33-35hp additional at the crank.

With all 3 mods you listed you're looking at about 230-240hp or so to the wheels. Headers add about 28hp, intake about 6-8hp and exhaust about 1-2hp.....

All of the above numbers are referring to the automatic transmission.... the 6-speed CL-S would have slightly higher total numbers.....

Here's some reading for you. It starts with the headers and rolls into CAIs....

Well, you also have a 6-speed which should be putting about 10-15 more HP the wheels....

I've edited my reply to indicate I was referring to the auto....

i'd say a CL-S(01-03) witch C/T headers you'll be in the 300 HP range. (that's at the crank)
