I must say, going from the apex'i catback to stock b-pipe/y-pipe and comptech mufflers is a huge difference.

The tone is a LOT deeper now and louder as well. i'm not sure which one I like more, but the comptechs definitely look pimp (got my ypipe painted black also) as fuck.

I can see what people are saying by a drone when getting on the freeway, but I usually drive w/ music on so it doesn't effect me @ all.

So what would it sound like if I got a comptech b-pipe installed?

And does anyone want a catback exhaust in so-cal?

i'm just wondering if the b-pipe will raise the tone for more of a growl; i was really surprised with how deep the CT's sounded compared to previous set up.

 

i noticed the b-pipe gave it a more throaty sound, like the g35. but drones away.

 

which apexi exhaust did you have?

i used to work for acura, so i can get my employee discount on comptech stuff... but i loved my apexi WS on my civic and integra.

 

I had the apex'i RS which is basically the WS1 system before they changed the name to world sport.

Finally got the pics up. Lovin' the new look, 'cept I'm more used to the huge pipes from the back. I'll get used to it though . Also, for some reason the color of the steel on the CT's matches better w/ my wheels .

You really cleaned the hell out of those. I mean I wiped them down and removed some of the grime, but those puppies look new.

I definately agree that the seem to fit the car better than the Apexi's.

I miss the sound of them though. The stock 03 tails, just ain't the same.

Look good man, I love the Comptech the tone is the best at just a cruising speed and is not a huge cannon like the others.

 

Holy crap those Apexis were huge. I love it the sound of the comptechs when you rev it up to about 3-3.5k sounds so nice.

 

I almost thought those were Greddy's ...................damn the size difference is insane
