Comptech Exhaust?

How much HP does it give and are they really worth the money? Does anyone have them and really love them or do you think it was a waste of money? I need some advice! Thanx!!

It's not for the horsepower, it's for the sound and feel.

Yeah but does it really give you 8 hp or something close to that?

IIRC, it dynos 2-5hp. Maybe more claimed, but I've yet to see a dyno sheet showing it do more than 2-5hp on a stock CL-S. Benefit might be a little more if you have headers also. It sounds great though! I finally got to hear them over the weekend and the slight rumble is most excellent.

I agree. If you're looking for a horespower mod, you'll be disappointed with the exhaust.

No question in my mind: new sweet spot between 3,000-4,000rpm post Comptech exhaust (waited a year and a half, 27k miles before putting them on: the before/after effect was very noticeable).

Sine the Type-S exhaust is already a straight through design there isn't much to be gained.

On the Accord we have a chambered mufflers so I picked up some nice top end power with the CompTech's. I did already have intake, headers, pulleys and plugs so the exhaust was probably a bigger restriction than normal.

Your biggest gains would probably be from dropping the Y pipe and going with a single muffler. Most people prefer the look of a dual exhaust over the small performance advantage of a single muffler.
