I was woundering if anyone has any more complaints with the comptech clutch flywheel combo? I just got mine and was planning on haveing installed next week by a shop specializing in honda acura, it kinda scared me when I came across some posts talking about problems they hade with them
what about running underdrive pulleys with the comptech clutch? could this be harmfull?

From what I recall, the lightweight crank pulley combined with the Comptech clutch/flywheel seemed like it was a problem when used together. One or the other should cause no problem but not together as a combo.
As a side note, I spoke with Comptech last Thursday and they are not big fans of lightweight crank pulleys on the J32A motor.

Three Wheelin'
I'm not really sure what problems some people have had with the clutch/flywheel package. I currently have the 6spd with the S/c and lightweight flywheel/clutch package and have not had one problem at all. The engine revs faster, the clutch bites as well as the stock one did. Comptech clutch disk appeared to be beefier than the stock one or perhaps even a different material. I haven't to this date experienced any warpage with the flywheel. That IMO may over time be a problem because the flywheel is aluminum with a solid round steel plate for the disk to ride on, the steel plate heats at a different rate than the aluminum. I think a better design would have been to have this steel insert made in .. say..... 3 peices. On a side note, don't know if your lightweight crank pulleys would affect the lightweight flywheel, can't think of a reason why it would though..
I think you'll like it, I do. Works well with a S/C, but if you ever custom build a turbo motor, don't use it, Turbo's like a heavier flywheel.

jont, why do you have underdrive pulleys AND the supercharger? You'll end up underdriving the supercharger and not seeing full boost.

I have the unortadox ss pulley its the same size as the stock crank pulley they are designed for the SC if any body has information that it does affect the boost let me know

Yes that pulley is designed for the S/C application. Your sig said "underdrive pulleys" so I assumed it was infact the underdrive pulley and not just the lightweight crank.
ok
just wanted to make shure Ill change that so there wont be any confusion
thanks
