Here's another question for you myCL:

Would we get a bigger break if we installed all or most of the Comptech package at the same time (headers/exhaust/sways/springs).

Also, what about intake stuff, would anything be included in this deal? Doubt we could get a much better deal on something like AEM/Injen, but perhaps when the comptech icebox comes out... hm...
Well he wants to know about the interest that he could generate and show to the higher ups that we mean business. As for the other kinds of intakes I don't know but we can find out.

He is setting up a package (headers, exhaust, install) and trying to get the price down.

This is really very new so please, understand this might take some time to sort out. Thanks for sticking by.

Well the phone rang again and here is the deal.

I hope this doesn't hurt.

Headers $1100 + tax
Exhaust $575 or with headers $550 + tax
Install $295 for both

You don't have to have them installed there to get that price. Once the money is there the stuff can be there the next day, so really not much wait time.

This is with 5 people buying in.

Thanks

I hope this doesn't come as a shock to some people. This is the numbers they gave me and is the best that they can do. If you can find it lower than by all means go through them. Mike said "thats just business."

Similar to TypeSDragon...my car will be getting quite a bit of coverage...touring at IASCA and going to nationals (and hopefully winning) kinda does that for you. I'd be more than interested to hear the deal they could get us on headers, and yes well maybe the supercharger too.

Like I said, if you can help get him lower the better for all.

I understand your disappointment.

NEW NUMBERS IN

New Pricing

Ok I called another Acura dealer, Acura out of Washington

These are numbers for 5+ buying in

Headers $1060 including shipping and tax (if you live outside washington state then no tax)

Exhaust $575 same thing.

If we get more people then the price MIGHT get lower.

So pm me and I can then get a CONFIRMED head count.

I understand and appreciate your efforts on this.
I’m just trying to say that I think we’re going to have to see discounts of at least 100-150 dollars before you generate any REAL interest or commitments.

I think Fotis said he had a connection to get the headers for about $950-1000.

These dealers are still making a nice chunk of change at $1060.

So $1060 with tax included in Washington state? So I believe their tax is 6.25%...and shipping is like $30...so $1030*93.5% means...$963...so you're looking at about $1000 without tax and with shipping right? Hmm. Still too high. It's a sort of cat and mouse thing I guess. Explain our dilemma. They will lower the price if more are interested, but more will only be interested if they lower the price....

Well first there is no tax if you are out of state. So for me in Cali it would cost 1060 to get them. Thats it. I can see why some or all of you are a little worried. I will gladly turn over control of this monster if someone would like to step forward. Otherwise I am going to call and see what I can do. Thanks for sticking by.

I think I speak for everyone in thanking you for you efforts....

I just feel like everyone is frustrated with the entire headers situation, and that's not your fault at all. So many people want headers, but so few want to shell out $1100 for them (myself included). We have been down roads like this before that have been dead ends...

Hopefully, this one will produce some positive results...
any mention of the C/T SuperCharger??

I thank you all for reading and helping with your support. I want headers so bad I can taste it. And if any of you have any concerns, I am NOT getting any special treatment (no cheaper headers, no cheaper install, nothing). I believe we all get the same discount or we all walk.

As for panning out, well I hope so. If there is anyone else that we can call or look into then we should try that as well.

Do a search on 'Tommy Moua.' Members have bought headers from him for $1000 shipped/no tax. Not 1060.

Just got off the phone with tommy and he said that was the best that he can do.

Called another place in Canada, but they would only go to 1050 and we would have to pay shipping.

This is all I know and I am all out of options.

Thanks

I haven't talked this over with anyone yet, but what if we can do it for 1000 flat. I have no idea is Tommy will do it, but it is a shot.

So I am in for one.

Anyone else????
