Comptech B Pipe Dent Fixable?

I'm looking to by a full Comptech cat back by the b pipe has a dent in it, Will having a shop cutting the section out and replacing it mess up the b pipe?

Sorry for the double post Ron, but no one really looked at me thread in the Problem and Fixes thread.

I don't see why that wouldn't be fixable.

Hey Gnuts, what do you think the best way to fix it? cutting the pipe and getting a new piece welded on?

I'm no expert, but I would think that would be the easiest way. Might be easier for the shop to install it then cut in a new section to make sure it's the proper fit and length.

No reason they can't cut it and replace it. Really, it's not even in need of being replaced. That little bit won't stop the flow.

I agree with Gnuts it should not be that bad to fix. Install the hole set up and take it to a good muffler shop. I don't think it would cost more then $100 - $150 to be replaced with SS tube. I would make sure the use SS for the repair.

Yes. A stock gasket will work. Or a perm-a-gasket.
I wouldn't mess with that. I'd throw some high temp black paint on it & be done. That doesn't look like it will have any problems with flow & it more cosmetic.

That's what I thought. I bought this exhaust basically for sound lol. I already knew there was not going to be any performance gains. I think I got a great deal on them though.

Hopefully it will increase the sound a bit. I had the Comptech axlebacks and they sounded good but a bit too quiet for me.

I got them installed. I installed the axleback first because I knew it was easy and fast. Took me 30 minutes at most. They sound great but it was a little quiet. Then a week later I added the b pipe and this increased the sound a little more. Now its a perfect for me. I really enjoy the sound.

Now I need performace. I guess the only thing next for me is headers. I want to find a icebox to replace my aem cold air.

When I was installing my b pipe I could hear something in my resonator. It sounded like pieces of sand or dirt in side. it only made sounds when i tipped it or shook it. I try to tip it to its side to get it out but nothing came out. I went ahead and installed it. Should I be worried of it getting into my engine?

Should be fine, might be some sand or something but it wouldn't travel all the way up into your engine. Exhaust gas only flows one way.
