The coming Japanese sporty car list

Toyota Matrix -> January 2002
Infiniti G35 -> March 2002
Honda Civic Si -> April 2002
Nissan 350Z -> August 2002
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII -> January 2003

Man also the Mazda 6 and the Honda Accord are both coming soon, although they might not be considered "sporty". I am very excited.

The top model of the Matrix is basically a Celica GT-S turned into a wagon w/a gamut of utility features added-in. Same power output/tranny, a little heavier (the Celica is feather, if you weren't aware), and similar suspension setup. A wonderful car for a young person who does everything (including being a car enthusiast) and can only afford to spend $20K on one car. Being that it's a wagon, insurance should be a relative breeze.

Not as good as you make it seem....yes, it has the superb GT-S engine and tranny...but the weight and gearing makes an okay performer...0-60 in 8.0 and 1/4 in 16.0

Right. But I don't think there's another car out there with nearly the volume of minivan that can do even that, not to mention boast the type of styling and pricing that attracts the younger set.

How about this: it's the youth Van-agon.
