cold air or short ram?

i'm looking into getting an intake but can't decide on which one to get. i was gonna get the aem cai with the bypass valve but it was a little much since i plan on supercharging the car. i want something to add a little more power to hold me off for now. how much of a power difference is there between cold air and short ram, both by aem?

Be happy with your headers, wait for the FI and then decide for your self what you need, the Headers are cool 30 hp at the wheels.

Enough for now, spend your money on tires, sways and spring instead... You will have superior car.

I have, as you can see with in my sig, the Injen Race Divison, 1-piece, polished aluminum CAI. You need to very careful how you install it, as to aviod any damage to the hood liners ribs ( the front hose connector just hit the hood liners rib ).

It may have been corrected with new versions of this Injen CAI. As, I was beating on these folks to get this corrected.

I am happy with it otherwise. It seems I feel more responsive throtle. Also, the MPG has improved by at least 10%.

I need to have a chance to be the track to check my times with this CAI.

Soon, I hope I will be at the track.

Hopefully, after I install my new tires/wheels.

Does anyone know how the CL-P with CAI sounds compared to the CL-S with it?

Could the difference between the P and the S contribute to a different breathing sound?

maybe a bit different when the engine is cold. However, once the engine warms up, I barely hear my CAI at low rpms at 3.8k and 4.8k it is totally different story. The sound CAI is there..... It just too loud to claim it like stock!

i talked to comptech about a good setting for street driving and they told me to set it at about a quarter turn from the soft position. they said the ride would be a little stiffer then stock. anyone have a short ram intake in a cl type s? if you do did you notice any increase in power?

Get the Xephyr and you can have BOTH depending on how you mount it or you can switch back and forth for testing/racing.

I've noticed something -- it seems that most of the Xepher owners are in the east. If you live near him, you can knock on his door or have him show up to a meet and have him install it for you.

I don't think he makes house calls on the west coast.

You could just upgrade the filter to a K&N or the Comptech foam one.
