Cold Air Intake

this ma be a dumb question but what would be the major differences between a cheap intake like this one

an a name brand such as AEM or injen????

One is built by a reputable company out of materials that have been proven reliable and safe for our cars.

An the the other one isn't.

If someone was selling aftermarket tires for 20 bucks, brand new, would you buy them?

It's only a metal tube, can't be that different. NOT SO. Go with the AEM or Injen. Or the Comptech Icebox. These are less likely to rust, etc.

Personally, I have the Icebox, and love it.

Check out the Blackmarket, you may be able to find one used.

what is the difference between the short Ram and the full lunght.... is the power gain at different RPM ranges?

The short ram will breathe air from the top of the engine compartment. You will get more power gains from a CAI.

Sweet... i just bought the AEM CAI for 193.00 should have it tomorrow... Hope it was worth it.

It's pretty good. Think about getting a bypass for it. It sits pretty low to the ground, and if you were to need to get through some flood water, you may need it. Not that you see a lot of flood in FL....:wink:

The canister sits behind the front bumper. If you get under the bumper and remove the shroud on the left side, there will be space for it.
