CLS6 vs. MASERATI...

I was coming home from school and there is something interesting coming up in my rear view. The Projectors looked a little different compared to many that I have seen. Its the Maserati GranSport Spyder. Anyway, so he gets in front of the car in front of me on the exit. This exit opens up to another highway and so I cut across 2 lanes to get into the left lane. There was no one there. So I am in second at the time and push it with a quick shift to 3rd. He sees me and follows in the right lane. I let off as I know where the cops sit and at the time since he cannot pass me on the right, he gets behind me. We pass all traffic and all hell breaks loose. I'm at 50 in 3rd and he is right behind me. I push it and so does he. Quick shift into 4th and the speed keeps rising. I slow down again due to cop area. Then we have a straight way. 2 lanes, no traffic, at all for at least 1.5 miles. We slow to 45 and go at it again. He pulls a 1/2 a car on me before we slow due to another area cops sit at. Speed at this time was 125 before we slowed down. I let him in front and we go past all the speed traps. He pushes it again and so do I. I was at 90 in 4th and he was pulling just slightly on me just like he did earlier...

I think I held up pretty well?

0-60: 4.95s
HP: 396
TQ: Still looking
Tranny: 6-speed auto-shift manual w/OD and auto-manual

Wow from what I know they trap anywhere from 108-110 in the 1/4 mile. He should have pulled much harder than that, he must suck at driving. I remember I raced one in my old S2 SRT-4 and barely edged it out from a roll.

Thats what I was thinking... He didnt do as well as I thought he would. I was expecting to get my ass handed to me but when I saw half a car before I slowed down, I was in complete shock and confused as hell. I dont get it still but it was nice to stay with a v8 sports car. But like you said, he probably didnt know how to drive.

No. I'm n/a... And the roads were dry too. I'm as lost as everyone when it comes to this. I'm sticking to him not knowing how to drive..

I had a similar race in my CL-S aswell. It was a Spyker C8. I got on his ass and I had it to the floor all the way up to 100mph. He was barely pulling but I know for a fact he wasn't shifting at redline. Still shifting pretty high in the rpms but not redline. I raced him like 4 or 5 times after that all the way home. Old man had a big smile on his face, guessing he was having fun.
