This thread is nothing but BS. Obviously in a forum of their car, they will defend their car and put down others. A CL is a luxury car fellas. It's not meant for racing. Stock STi runs low 13s. How much does your CL runs stock? Even a regular WRX will spank a CL-S.

hey sti guys...calm down. We all know the STI is way faster than a CLS with stock for stock, anyone can tell you that. All these guys are trying to say is a heavily modded CLS can hang with a stock STI. For example, allmotor & type-R are running mid-low 13s N/A & even broke into the 12s at the track with turbo. N/A with nitrous into the mix and you have a very good race also. No matter how fast any car is on paper, it depends on the driver. If he/she cant shift, it doesnt matter how much hp/tq you have.
In the cls vs. sti video, the sti may have missed a shift, but you cant really tell since we dont know the times.

Actually I prefer racing on the highway, much safer, late night or early morning of course. Hey I don't need to race from a 80 punch to beat a WRX, a 20 punch will do just fine.

What's the point of arguing which car is faster? There's always somebody faster. CL's are faster than some other cars, WRX's/STI's are faster than CL's...and then there are those cars that make both the CL and the WRX/STI look like slugs.
Oh, and I will race any WRX or STI. But, before we do, you have to plunk down 15 grand on stereo equipment and tip the scales at over 3800 lbs...since some people like comparing modded to modded...hahaha

Good point Slayer, also there is more to a car than how fast it goes. They are both faster than most cars, so anything more than that is a bonus. A car can offer other things as well, like attracting attention with its appearance, and if you are always going so fast, how will ladies be able to stare you are driving by? Bottom line, both are awesome cars, just not the right one for everyone.
