Last night i had a race with i think a gs-t, it was from a stop sign and i might have left slightly earlier than he did but i had the lead for the whole race and did not push my rpm's above 6.5k. I thought i heard a turbo but he would more than chirp the tires at every shift.

I wanted to go again because i just got header but he took the next left.

 

Did it have one of those dumb@ss tall spoilers on it? If it did it most likely was a turbo, although I think in later years of that gen Eclipse you could add the turbo spoiler as an accessory from the dealership on the GS or RS. Of course before that gens refresh all of the Eclipses had the more conservative spoilers so it could have been anything. If it was a GS or RS then you should have destroyed it. Not sure about the GS-T or X...if I recall, they went 0-60 in around 6.9s so even with an automatic you should be able to take it whether you had a bit of a headstart or not.

I think the turbos do 0-60 in 6.4-5 but i am not sure.
