CLS shifts harder in cold weather

Does the cold weather effect the way the car shifts if its not warmed up ? B/c my car wasn't warmed up it seemed to shift alot harder from 1-2-3 then when my car warmed up it was fine . Is this b/c the fluids haven't been runnin in the car and that's why it's doing this . Also it only has 6k miles . Thanks

I haven't noticed any differance, and I have been paying attention due to all the Tranny problems being reported..

I notice it as well. Cold weather especially. But I always make sure that the car is nice and warmed up.....never know when it's going to need to make that sprint to glory

I never noticed this on my CL, but I know my 5-Speed Legend Coupe used to be REAL sensitive to the cold air.
When I started the engine, I used to push the clutch in and ROW through the gears for a minute or so before even attempting to drive.

I’m talking REAL cold, like maybe 10 degrees F or lower.

yeah b careful when warming up...the shifts are a bit tougher on the tranny...i always wait like 10-15 seconds after starting the car before headin out in the morning...even when the car's warm, i do it...never hurts.

Yeah I agree, this morning it got down to low 70s, I felt a difference. MY garage was at 85, so I let the car sit for about 15 secs to WARM UP.

My car is in the driveway, so when I start the car, I quicky move it out of the garage and leave it outside so it can warm up.
