CLS serviced for a few things.

Well my car went in on Monday for:
1-- My Sumitomo HTR's mount and balance (dealer price was actually cheaper than other places $55). Stockers to the trash.

2-- Replacement headlight housings fogging up when I wash the car. = "order headlight lens"

3-- Ticking noise coming from Sunroof. = "Order sunroof glass" wtf ....The last time they replaced the dome light thinking that was the cause. I don't think the glass is the cause but whatever.

4-- The Imfamous idle shutter problem when coming almost to a complete stop. I mentioned to them that a very knowledgeable member of this board (Scalbert" ) mentioned the possible culprit being the IACV (Idle Air control valve). = "Order EGR valve"

What is EGR Valve, is it the same thing ?

The mad face under the tire section, is because I now have nice etched wheels, line going across teh top of each blade where I assume the machine got a ahold of them.

EGR valve...exhaust gas recirculating valve. It's only basic function is to reduce NOx which is a form of emissions...it really won't have anything to do w/ ur idle unless ur flooring it and then coming to a stop.

It's operated by vacuum and the ecu. Vacuum is applied to it when u suddenly flap the throttle and release it or driving uphill.

not the case with me. If I floor it, It will stay floored. I do not just hammer it from stoplight to stoplight. So I have no idea why they are changing this

I'm working on it, seems lots of people have had this problem with no resolutions listed.
