That guy you know must have some internals done or some other trick up his sleave. I haven't played around much on maxima.org in a while (since i no longer own a max), but it sounds like he was pretty well maxed out on bolt ons. You've definitely got me curious though...any chance of you meeting up with this guy and seeing what all he has?

i raced a what appeared to be a Stock 3.5 maxipad 2003+ against my CL-S auto with intake on the highway and i easily walked him... i guess our J32 motors are good for something.. high end powa FTW! our cars arent really track cars..... so why beat it up at the track!...

As one who had an 02 Maxima SE and now has an 07 Accord V6, I would rather have the low end. Hard 0-60mph sprints (Maxima) wont necessarily garner any traffic citations but 130 mph+ runs (Accord) will pretty much guarantee it.
Sidenote: My Maxima (4AT) was governed @ 130mph so, top end contests were rather moot.

LMAO...let me gues, that Maxima was blue. Join the club, thats actually the maxima that this tread is about, lol. So whatever you got planned, now you know what he runs and what your up againts. I have known this guy for years so i will admit that he is one hell of a racer and it wont be so easy for you or me to mod our cars and beat him N/A.

Yea I know him to, they were both running 13s at the track the last time I was with them. You must got some heavy stuff in the house if you gonna mess with that. I was actually wat Fridays last week and they showed up so i warned the dude with the silver one that in a couple weeks im coming to get him, and i dont plan on lossing, lol

ive driven an auto 02 maxima se and an auto 07 maxima se and i personally like the cl better all around.
everything in the maximas felt kinda loose and cheap. and i was just completly confused driving the 07 because u cant feel or hear it shift. and it refused to up shift a few times when i floored it, it just got stuck at the top of second gear until i let off the gas.
(and no, it wasnt in tip tronic.i know som1 would probly suspect that, because if youve driven one it does tend to kind of just slip over there when in d5
)

Honestly, how do you expect to drop in the mid 13s without using nitrous or something? You mentioned getting lower then 13.7 in a couple of weeks. I'm just curious in general.

Headers came today. If I had already ran the car before stock and had a time i was happy with I would get them installed tomorrow so i could have them on the car for the track friday

By the way does the Unichip mess with timing or anything else or does it merely change the A/F ratio like the VAFC NEO (excluding VTEC stuff)? Seems like a waste to combine the two.

changes ignition timing...basically acts as a piggy back for the oem ecu...and changes everything the ecu does...dont think it affects vtec but the neo does...BUT i will b swaping this shitty ass auto with the 6sp MT by then end of the summer..
