CLS 6 i/h/p/e vs 04-05 S2k i/tp/e

So I finally got to run an s2k with mods! Ive been waiting on a chance to run one - well today i got 3 runs in with a clean white 04-05 s2k. I spotted him getting onto the highway and followed, pulled up next to him and gave him a nod we threw it in 3rd ~ 60mph i looked over and honked it off i jumped half a car immediatly then pulled a full length thru third and another car or so through 4th. The second run was the same but it was at 70mph same result. We pulled over an he ask what i had he seemed extremely impressed ha told me what mods he had and said he wanted a tune... as do I

anyway just wanted to share - thoughts? opinions?

You reckless son of a bitch! You need to drive more safely!!!!!!

Okay. That was just a joke.

Seriously, that was an impressive kill. You must have done some serious, serious mods other than what you posted. I've had an S2k eat my lunch in the past and he wasn't even trying. Then again I am in a completely stock 02' CL-S.

tp = Test Pipe

Sideswipe- the mods i have include aem cai, xs headers, P2r TB spacer, magnaflow mufflers, option racing pullies, and a gutted stock cat ( which i only gutted bc it was completely clogged and couldnt rev over 3k w/o soundingl like i was going to blow a gasket)

and to be quite honest it sounds raspy and loud but a definate increase in power tires start to break loose around 5.5k in 1st now - its fun for now until i get a high flow cat.

That was probably not a stock S2k then. Back when I was stock I would still beat up on the S2ks. Granted, you have an auto so that could have made a difference as well.

After the build I ran two that appeared to be modded (intake and exhaust at the very least) and even giving them a good 3-4 car lead on the roll from ~60mph I still blew past them at ~90-100mph.

In the twisties though the S2k would eat me alive. I still want one, even though they could benefit from a nice dose of torque.

Yes sir! A supercharger on a S2K would make all the difference in the world! It would bring that low TQ right up to where you would need it.

The gutted cat and mufflers help tremendously. Great mods. I briefly thought about just trading in the CL-S for a 6 but I'm coming to an end with my Acura. I'm seriously eyeballing a Lexus SC430.

The SC will be on my short list when I give my Cl to my son next year.

Very sharp car...

I wouid have considered the TLs if not for the psuedo Batmobile styling.
