The temperature control panel and the stereo light up fine, but the clock light is out. It's pretty annoying. Is there an actual bulb that I need to replace or is it something else? How hard is it to remove the dash panels if I need to do that?

This happened to me and I just tapped on the clock and the light came back on. So I might give that a try otherwise its probably a dead bulb because if it was a fuse everything would be out. Good Luck!

 

happened to me too. i wasnt about to pay over $100 to have the dealer do it. it costs $7 for the bulb and i took apart the front dash myself for the first time and i would consider myself far from handy. the hardest part is prying the front dash off with a flat head screw driver, after you get that off its a breeze...i would do it again without thinking twice.

Oh wow... and here i thought the bulb was suppose to be not lit. I didnt think twice because it was that ugly type of calculator look to it. Damn... hhahahahahahaha!!!! Thanks guys!

 

I just hit mine on top of the dash real hard a couple of times and it lit back up. Did it for a family member and it worked too.

 

I smacked it pretty hard last night and nothing... Speedometer shakes, but no go on the light. Ill take it in one of these days. My washer fluid light is on and its full, so i'll fix both the sensor and clock at the same time. Thats the only thing that i dislike about the interior the most, the clock. Its very cheesy looking.

 

hmmm...i knew something was wrong then...ever since i bought my CL summer of '05 that light has been off

but one time i did hit my dash for no reason and it lit up for like a couple seconds and turned back off lol

 

Mine went out also oveer the winter.
Did the bang on dash thing ... no workie.
Seems like Acura needs to upgrade that bulb a notch.

Mine is out too...i banged the shit out of it and nothing happened....I wonder how long it was out without me noticing

 

tapping it worked for me. try again. it didn't work on the first couple of tries, but it did after.

never had a problem since and that was about a year ago.

i think i banged on my too hard, my radio fell out, and my air bags deployed...
sucks for me...
