My clock isn't lighting up anymore. Will the whole facia need to come off? Anyone have a dealer fix this for them, is it a big deal? maybe I can wrangle a rental for the day if it takes a while to get to to fix...

 

Yeah mine went out too... I think they used some cheap ass bulbs ... quite a few ppl have had their clock lights die...

 

Did you replace it or have one of our ever so friendly and cooperative dealers take care of it?

Mine does it often, a light tap brings it back for me..

 

I have a service coming up anyway, just thought I could piggyback with the clock fix as a warranty thing to get a free rental :-).

 

Yeah, what he said. I have done the same thing. A good smack on the top of the dash. Problem solved. I hope this works for you.

You mean while they wait 3-4 weeks for the replacement ;D

 

Yes the dash fascia needs to be removed to gain access to the clock .It is not a big deal .Jens

 

ditto marine1, a good rap on the dash solved my clock light problem.

 

been smacking the crap out of it and no response other than a bruised hand :-). Looks like I'll get my free rental. Gonna replace those road lights with the black inserts from the '03 as well. Stupid things cracked the first month I had the car.

if I had it to do again I would have DEFINITELY gotten the navi.

 

I just brought mine in this morning for service..... Theyre taking care of the clock and a few other issues under warranty.......

 

my clock is out too. I will go out there and start beating on it and see what happens

 

There is a small light bulb with a white socket that needs replacement behind the clock.
