CLK-500 vs. CL-S

check my sig for my mods

we went twice from 0-100,
first time we both launched bad and i hit the rev limiter on the 1-2, we were just about even the whole way, in the end my front bumper was at the end of his hood.

2nd run
i launch alot cleaner this time and put about 1 car on him in 1st gear, i fawkin hit the limiter on 1-2, and 2-3, @ 100 i had about 1-1.5 cars on him

i am very impresses that my car kept up with the 2dr v8 benz coupe

i just have my eyes on the road too much and not enuff on the tach

Good race, bro. 302 hp in a 4000+ pound car isn't really THAT impressive. With some mods, they are definitely in our game.

Engine 5.0L 24-valve V-8 engine.
Acceleration 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds.
Curb Weight 3,585 lb/1,626 kg.
Net Power 302 hp @ 5,600 rpm.
Net Torque 339 lb-ft @ 2,700-4,250 rpm.
Transmission Driver-adaptive electronic 7-speed automatic with Touch Shift.

i actually think that 0-60 in 5.7 is way under rated

I just raced a older generation CLK430 from a 50mph roll on Tele and put a car length before I shut it down at 80mph. (I was in my mustang tho)

OK, Darrin. You are right, I'm wrong. You're smart, I'm stupid.

Happy?

Hey, jtkz, are you coming with us to the Dream Cruise this saturday? Check the Second Gen CL section for my thread titled Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise.

darrinb, nice kill

couple questions:

1) are you 6MT?
2) was this with the chip in?
3) if you aren't a 6MT, how do you think I'd fare with my setup? I know you have rubber, pulleys, and the chip, so I dunno?
4) again, nice kill

dem1k, i have the addition of the pulley and the chip over you, so that could make a huge difference in the results, even though i dunno how much gains i got from the chip though

I didn't even think they were putting 7-speed on manufactured cars. Besides the Chrysler supercar, but that has something like 800HP. Why would a Mercedes Benz AT need a 7-speed. Plus the car only has 302 HP doesn't make since.

Sense, and they're doing the same with some new bimmers now.
