Is it this model ?

http://www.cyclemaxohio.com/inc/sdetail/609

"It had a clear lens with red LED's and converts the standard brake light into a brake and running light. " -------> what does this mean ?

Yep thats the one...I had to get crative with the wiring cuz i couldn't get to the factory connector...usually u can just unplug the old one and plug in the new one...so i had to connect new connector pieces and rewire...

This only fits an Acura one right? Not an aftermarket copy?

in a normal senario, its the easiest thing ever, just unscrew the 2 screws that are holding it into the spoiler and pop it out, un plug the old one and plug the new one in...but in my case i had to switch around some connectors because i couldn't get to the plug(tucked too far into the spoiler i suppose)...not hard at all probably the hardest part was getting my girlfriend to get me the damn wire crimpers...

Note to everyone. This only fit an Acura spolier. Not anything aftermarket.

i'm pretty sure that the yellow wire has to do with the "running light" application, but shouldn't factor in here, did u just plug in the adapter or did u need to get to the male and female butt connectors...if u did the later make sure u connected the right wires (i.e. the green one from the light to the red from the car and the ground to ground) u might have to get some connectors and switch male and female parts like i did

I had gotten mine at spoilerdepot.com or something like that for $15 + s&h. it was like 2 years ago, but I would give them a call to see if they have them laying around before i spend $56 + s&h on it. personally i think it is worth the money but if you can get it cheaper why not. The one i received only had the red and black wire, no yellow wire so no help here

Just got mine in from UPS and installed in less than 15mins. Looks good. All you need to do is cut the two wires already connected, splice the Black/White to the Red of the new light, and the Black to the Black. Wrap the yellow w/ electical tape to cover the exposed wire, and screw it all back into place. Great find blazin, thanks!

I thought they stopped selling this light though?

Kind of an old pic, but I guess it gets the point across:

They used to be about the same price as spoiler depot when this post was created. I never would have bought one at that price!

I'm definitely getting one, thanks for the SSM pic. I wonder if the yellow wire is used for the "running light" application...

spoilerdepot doesn't sell it anymore, but spoilerlights sells a universal 13" which fits perfectly to the OEM spoiler. it won't fit the knock offs.
