I just made a attempt to clean my throttle body due to the sympton of a stiff gas pedal to no avail. I toke off the air cleaner assembly and peeked into the TB, it didn't look dirty at all.... I cleaned it out a bit but didn't get that much gunk off. Im not sure how to fix this stiff peddle, I turn the throttle plate and it feels so stiff, anyone else have this type of problem? I also adjusted my throttle wires so I don't have any more play in the gas pedal. BTW I have a CL-P

 

if it's stuck, wouldn't that also involve the throttle cable? maybe got dirt or snagged somewhere?

 

update: i've been driving around tonight and the peddle feels much better, I think it's because the TB cleaner I used just soaked into the throttle spring. It feels smoother and easy going, it's still a bit stiff but much better.

 

I'm taking my TB off this weekend to clean it & the IAC valve. As well as check the plugs, & running some seafoam through the engine. Maintance weekend for me.

 

I cleaned mine when I did the spacers. It made a huge difference.

 

I think I need a maintenance weekend heh, i'd like to try seafoaming the engine too. Goodluck
