I have only clayed my car once, and was very happy with the results. However, I have been using Meguiar's deep crystal system (Paint Cleaner, Polish, Wax) and have been pleased with that. The thing is, I'm quite certain that the cleaner's point is to actually remove a very thin layer of finish from the paint (or so I hear) to restore paint from oxidated states. My paint is certainly not oxidated, so I don't like the idea of removing finish. However, I don't get that glassy finish (to the same extent) unless I use the cleaner and wax. Will a clay bar remove all the contaminents and shit a chemical cleaner will? If so, can I use the clay bar as often as I like without worryin about damage to the paint (I wax about once every two months).
