cl3.2 verses tl3.2's

2002 Acura CL 3.2 2dr Coupe w/Navigation (3.2L 6cyl 5A)
Weight: 3485 lbs.


acura 2002 tl type s
Weight: 3554 lbs.


any of you guys think the weight diffrence will make these to even out in a race? i know its only 69 ilbs but i heard somewhere before that every 100 ilbs take a second or half off your time or something>?

This was an endless debate when the TL-S was introduced. They are very close in both 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.... very close. So close in fact it's not worth arguing about. Plus, different drivers affect the times too, so in 10 races, you could easily have a 5-5 split.....

I'm really curious on how much less the 6-Speed manual will weight than the 5 Speed auto.?? I was guessing at around 75 - 100 lbs.

actually, the endless debate was regarding the cl type s vs. the tl type s. judging from the weights cited, vipacura is apparently asking about the cl premium (with navi) vs. the tl type s.

ahh, you are correct sir.... he is asking about the Premium (I should read more carefully ). In that case there is no debate, the TL-S would win....
