This morning i took my other car (chevy malibu) to the shop (Linden Car Care) on St. Georges ave to have it looked at. I ran into a 01 silver cl type s sitting on their lot. They had the hood open and the engine running. What grabbed my attention was all the modifications the car had like headers, piaa fogs, trunk lip spoiler, rear window spoiler, tint, and those silver knobs for the climate control and radio. It was also dropped with a cut-out resonator and stock mufflers.

I decided to take it for test drive. The car felt bouncy and was bottomin out due to the suspension even do it was a nice drop. Like 2" or so. The exhaust sounded good when revving but, driving sounded like a riced out civic! Take off was a bit better than stock with the headers. I didn't feel any resistance or hesitation. Just smooth accerlation. Maybe a mod I would consider in the future.

Overall It was okay. Not to far from stock but, its a start. I would change a few things if I were to purchase it. The car has 80k miles and is going for $10k. Anyone whose interested in a modded cl type s should go for it. The car could of possibly belonged to a member here.

 

i don't know much about CL pricing but i got my CL-P for 8k with 35k miles. non salvaged. and what are you asking? if you should buy it yourself or what?

 

I remember when i test drove a cl-s. it wasnt as modded as urs but hah i was going 110 down the freeway then the guy told me to slow down. i love that car but too bad im poor

 

Man, I am sorry to hear that about a CLS ,I am ashamed of whoever owned that one. It seems as if the previous owner mistreated her.

 

it isn't like he said they were crap mods. they just weren't his taste.

Don't get me wrong. I like the mods but, I feel it could of been better. Now I know what to look when Its time to mod my CL-S. That paticular CL-s is alot of bang for ur buck. Even the transmission shifts good!! I'm sure someone out there would like it.
