CL Type S Questions

Wow this has been the most active forum for CL's that I have ever seen. Well Im going to give up on my accord and move on to a CL Type S With Navi, I have a few questions that i hope you experts here on this board can answer thanks.

1. How much did you guys pay for your cars out the door with tax and everything? Im in south Cali btw.

2. Are there any performance parts out there for the type S i know there is the comptech headers and spring, struts blah blah blah but what about intakes and exhaust i currently have greddy Evolution duals on my accord and i was wondering with a little modification will it fit?

3. I have a system in my car right now and when i test drove the Type S I saw that there are no opening so do you ahve to make a custom fit for ur sound system, because i am definitely changing the system.

Thanks in Advance
Jeff

Yo dude, do yourself a favor and go to Pasadena Acura. I bought my car from there and if you notice I'm form San Francisco. I paid 33,200 out the door for a 2001 Black CL type S with Navi, Wing and mudguards. Though according to them I may have gotten the last black 2001 with navi that they had. I dealt with Xiangmei and I think she goes by the name michelle now. She may come off as a bit weird and a few ppl here know, but she'll get you a good deal.

PS... AVOID SIERRA ACURA at all costs... go there and you will get a shitload of Bullshit as well as froced accessories at prices you don't to pay. Okay i warned you

Welcome to the site, and glad to hear that you enjoy what you've seen thus far. If you've got any basic/general questions you want answered, I'd pu tmoney on it that they've already been picked apart and analyzed previously....just do a search for specific words etc., and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. As for your mods, I'm not the guy to ask, but pretty much everyone else 'round here is (or thinks) they are

As to price paid....I live up in Seattle and I got my Type S with Navigation for $33,800 out the door (tax/license included). Not a bad price considering. I added my stock chromes aftermarket, so they're not included in the above price.

As to the system install....I've heard of a lot of people that open the center console in between the back seats (ski hole). That will aloud the sound to pass through from the trunk.

Once again, welcome to the site, and hope you learn lots, and enjoy your car!!!

1.I paid 33,500 out of thd door in last October, try to get them down to invoice price
cause dealer has a lot of them and they don't sell that well.

2.AEM Cold Air Intake is what you are looking for,you can check www.autocarparts.com for other mods, and you should be able to move your Greddy exhause from Accord to CLS,casue many of the member here have done so.

3.Yup,you need a custom face plate if you are going to change the headunit also.

No body kits in mass production. My bro has been telling me he's seen some custom jobs near a shop he works at in the San Gabriel valley. I cna't verify as I'm in NoCAL.

If you're closer to the Orange County area, I got a nice deal from South Coast Acura. Only speak with the Fleet Manager, George Desorcy - he and I negotiated the price over the phone in about ten minutes - $29,850, before tax/lic/all that other crap, for a Black/Black NON-NAVI (still regretting it) with spoiler.
It was fresh off the truck, only 7 miles on it. After tax and everything I think it was like 33K
Be forewarned, though, their service center ain't the best, is very overbooked, and they DO NOT provide loaner cars.
If you're out in the Valley, I've heard that Acura 101 is great, but have no personal experience with them at all.

I can second this. When I bought my CL-P in Feb, George gave me the price over the phone (which was lowest of over 20 dealers I went to). When I went done to the dealer, everything was ready for me, was in and out in 45 minutes. When I bought my TL-S 2 weeks ago also, called George, gave me a great trade-in on the CL-P an great price on the the TL-S. He was honest, straight forward an no pressure. Found out that he is now the Sales Manager.

Crrink, this is not a good deal if you say it's for a non-navi CLS! The Invoice for this car is near 30K with Navi, the price for a non-navi CLS should be in the high 27's. I bought my car from pasadena Acrua for 33,200 out the door. Black/black With Navi, spoiler and mudgaurds... you do the math and figure out what I paid for the car beofre taxes and u'll see that driving a bit pays off.

Depends on many variables, but probably a lot. Call around to get quotes, especially if this will affect your decision to buy the car.

Wow, that is very high... I got a TL-S (no-nav) for $32,050 OTD.. and that car is hot right now. You should easily be able to walk out the door paying around $29k-$30k
for a no-nav CL-S. I know California tax is high, but the prices out there are a lot lower then over here, so you should find some serious deals....
