Is the CL Type S Automatic shift knob ugly?

I was sitting in my car last night staring at my shift knob in my 01 Cl type S. The look of the plastic on the leather looked so cheap to me. It started making me sick - it looked like a shift knob that I saw at Wal-mart or Target.

Does anyone feel the same way or am I just being too critical?

No, I think it matches the interior perfectly.

I dislike the stock Type-S knob. I think the plastic and red kind of cheapens the interior and doesn't flow very well. The CL-P knob looks much cleaner, though the TSX knob look even better cause it is perf-leather like our steering wheel/seats. I like the wood knobs to match the interior trim better, that is if you don't have the brushed alumn trim.

Personally, I like the TYPE-S on top of the shift knob. I agree, I think it flows well with the interior and its nice to have someone see what we are driving lol. I think it adds a little sport to the car

yah, I love the CL-S shifters, they're very comfortable and stylish to me.
^ But he doesn't own one..... just test drives a different one every weekend.

I got very bored with my Type-S knob in my TL-S, so I replaced it with the 07 TL-S shift knob. It sits much lower and looks classier/sportier in my opinion.

i totally agree, though i'm a little biased because i already have a cl-p knob.
but i also think the TSX knob would look great matched with your seats/wheel like he said

That looks great! How much was it (if you don't mind me asking).

So far I've got that knob, and the Type S emblem (which I can't find anywhere) that I need to get from the 07.

That 07 TL-S shift knob does look sharp. I think the shift knobs that I am deciding to switch are either the CL-P, TSX or the 07 TL-S.

Luckily I got mine free through a friend that works at Acura.

They list for $95, but some have found them on EBAY for around $55-65.
