Hello all...
last nite I had fun, I pulled up to a 2001 3.2 TL Type S<spoiler, lowered, body kit, and exhaust...dont know if any others>
He started reving, and he had his girl with him, so I decided why not....two acura lovers at it. I floored it and had a car length ahead, we went thru about 4 intersections staying the same the whole way. I didnt gain any more and he didnt pull up at all. I slowed down after 120mph.
I then got on the merging lane for the freeway and so did he, I started to cruise up when he wanted to race some more. We both found a clear area on I-5 and gunned it....I won the first one at about 140mph ...the second he won...it seemed to be whoever got the best launch, eventough we were on the freeway starting at about 80mph. I gave him a thumbs up and got off on my exit.
the thing is...I dont have any mods..YET

bad thing is...when I slammed it in 3rd...I goofed and allowed the rev to cut in and out cause I went to high before changing...ha!..hopefully nothing damaged

 

Since you drive an Acura, you should know better. The TL-S is a 2002 model, not 2001.

But I do agree that whoever gets a better launch will usually win.

 

I guess the dealership had a early shipment, cause I wanted to see if there was going to be a difference on the 2002's and they said they havent gotten any, but there was a 3.2 TL-s on the floor.....my goof...good lookin out, thanx for the info...
