CL-S vs Talon

Had a quickie race this morning (6:45am) w/ a Talon. I don't know much about these cars so somebody may be able to guess which model.

I was going to work and was in a group of cars w/ big wings and big mufflers. Anyway, we pulled up to a light on a road where two lanes merge into one. Most people just automatically get into the left lane (the one I was in) so you don't have to merge. An Integra and a souped up Prelude got behind me (like good little boys) but the Talon lined up next to me in the right lane. I knew it was on...

The light turned green and I got a little wheel spin. The Talon seemed to jump me by 3/4 of a car immediately. Once I got traction, however, I quickly brought the cars nose to nose. By the middle of 2nd I was 1/2 car ahead and by the top of 2nd I put on another. He gave up after that and merged in behind me.

I'm thinking that thing must have been AWD. I swear I could hear a whoosh sound too. Are there turbo versions?

Anyway, that woke me up and gave me a smile to start the day off.

Eagle talons are essentially and eclipse turbo. It is possible he had a awd model. They are pretty quick stock.
Good Kill!

yea i raced an eclipse turbo too ~early 90's model, basically the same thing. it has a pointy front end, with the horizontal taillights. inline 4 turbocharged, 205-210hp. i took him pretty easily from 40-90mph. the "pppsssstt" sound tipped me off.

Fast cars...I learned that when I drove my Prelude. I lost to a Tsi. Nice cars and (I think) a bit better looking than the Eclipse. It is all plastic but I like the Eagle plastic better.

how do you like your injen intake? i'm looking at the injen or aem.
i've heard that the mounts on the aem are prone to breaking.
do you know what the hp gains are for the injen?

i love the intake, it sounds great @ 5200 rpm....WOT
From what i've heard, the gains are the same as the aem. Oh yeah, and its a little less expensive!
