Um... are you kidding me? A stock SRT-4 is putting down 258hp to the wheels by your supposed dyno... But (according to the Dodge site): "2.4-liter dual overhead cam 4-cylinder 16-valve Intercooled high-output Turbo engine produces 230 horsepower at 5,300 RPM and 250 pounds-feet of torque from 2,400 to 4,400 RPM " So if it only produces 230hp at the crank... how can it produce 258hp at the wheels?! True racer... But I do agree that the SRT-4 driver blows to have lost.

 

actually Ken, he is correct....the SRT-4 made more power at the wheels than it was rated at the motor stock. Hence, Dodge changed the stock power rating after the first year. I've actually dyno'd it in my shop and on a warm day it put 247 to the ground. The car was vastly underrated---which explains it's extremely quick 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

LMAO....the last race the SRT let you win. If he would have launched it correctly, he would have gotten about 3 bus lenghts on you by the time you hit 4th gear.

 

People take it easy, you never know with the SRT's. I raced one back when I was stock, and even have a thread on here about it. I held him off stock vs. stock, and he WAS driving to it's full capability. I am planning to also run him modified vs. modified as soon as we can work around our busy schedules, I still think I have him. I'm also hoping we can get a video for the next race. But seriously now, you never know, maybe that the neon really did try and the car wasn't broken in properly. There are some dogs out there you know, and IT'S STILL A NEON.

I can hold off the majority with my S/C setup, but the neon is technically a modified car, so it's only fair that the Acura be modified to have a fair race. So since the neon has a turbo, the Acura needs a turbo. This is where Allmotor comes in.. haha..

Just to let you know, i would say whatevers on my mind, and , im not right... in the mind.
