AT CL-S vs G35C 6MT

how much should the G35C 6MT win by in a rolling start from about 40-50mph?

im starting to really like the G35s esp the 05s with 298hp

By like... this much: | |

...or maybe like a lot.

And yeah the 05s are sounding cool and looking almost dated already.

stock vs stock from a 50 roll i'd say a 6spd g35c would put 3-4 cars on a auto cl-s to 110

50-110 is when our cars are at their best.....i would say he would put 2 cars on you in that distance depending on how good the G35C 6speed driver is. And once you get into 4th gear.....well......you know the answer........

The G35C 6 speed's trap about what, 98mph? Stock 5AT CL-S is about 95mph, so 3-4mph is a healthy amount. I'd say 3-4 cars, and lots more once you go into 4th.

6mts trap right at 100mph. Mags and slips have shown this.

The G should win. 50mph is the high end of 2nd gear. And third is just a freakin' beast. Stock for stock, my money is on the Infiniti.

How's that for a completely unbiased opinion

Just busting you're chops Scibby

I've got more trunk space than the G35c

I wish I could find a G35 or 350Z to race around here. They are pretty rare, and if I see one its driven by an old person.

Hey, I resemble that remark (ahh... resent that remark)

None of the young kids in their eclipses or civics want to race me... I usually have to play with the Camaros, Mustangs and an occasional 04 TL

My neighbor has a red M3 cabrio with some hardcore tints and he tells me that at every light, there's always some 82 MPV or a 86 Tercel that wants to race him.

When he was telling me, I tried to picture, and I was laughing at that mental image for daaaaaaays.

Thats cool, most 350Z's I've seen at the track dont break out of the 14's unless they have boost, and even then they only run like 13.6's.

Plenty of pics.

But by your standards, it's still pretty ugly.

To be fair I have only seen 1 example of a FI 350Z/G35, and it was the Stillen SC kit I believe. So its not like it was a 400rwhp monster running mid 13's.

I never thought the interior was ugly, but the quality in the titanium dash materials wasn't that great. Everything is now real aluminum and a real wood option. Overall materials were upgraded

i just bought an '03 CL-S. a friend of mine is thinking about getting an '04 G35. his g35 might take me on a roll on 50-110mph, but my '03 Honda RC51 will crush his '01 Honda F4i through the twisties or the straightaways. you're better off buying the CL and with the savings from not buying the g35 buy a motorcycle.

G35 looks good though.

I like that color combo, but IMO the 04 and earlier model 18 inch wheel option was nicer looking... although these might better for performance since they are forged!
