Also saves the Insurance hit.

It is my daily driver, and I don't mind the softer suspension (for now) the potholes around here suck so its good.

I will be upgrading as time goes on though I am sure.

Honestly, the CL-P is plenty fast for me and still turns heads

Headers:
Comptech - $1120 shipped
OBX Racing - $320 shipped

Intake:
Icebox - $266 shipped
AEM - $194 shipped

Exhaust:
Comptech - $620 shipped
HKS-$515 shipped

Suspension:
Comptech - $300 shipped
H&R Sport - $210 shipped

Sways:
Comptech - $320 shipped

Add them all up, on the low end you've got ~$1560 not including installation fees, and on the high end (mostly Comptech stuff) you're looking at ~$2625 not including installation.

All that and your car still wouldn't be as quick as a CL-S. As for interest... interest on $2k over 5 years is not a lot of money at all.... couple hundred bucks.

Now, if you said you did it for insurance reasons... then it would make sense.... but the argument that upgrading it is cheaper doesn't fly too well......

I didnt even consider the CL-P because I wanted the 6 speed. Plus, I like the sport seats & aluminum trim in the CL-S better.

I must say that the TL-P loaner I had for a day was pretty impressive. It still felt plenty quick, and aside from the tranny not letting me hold 1st gear, it shifted pretty nice.

Another reason I got a S was so I wouldn't have to defend my man hood in situations like this. - j/k

I got a CL-P Because I'm 17 and It was better than getting a Honda Civic. Sure I would like to have a CL-S but my P is just fine especially when your friends all have Riced up Civics and you roll in with a nice Classy looking CL. My Insurance also wanted more money for a S

Isn't the Motor the same in the CL-S and The CL-P.... The big difference in the performance is the Intake and Exhaust right.... So in theory all a CL- P owner would have to do is replace these parts and would be as quick as a CL-S?? Or is that never possible to you CL-S owners, Just curious as to what you all think....

I remember when R&T did an article on the CL-S, was Sundance "Pimp daddy" Gold Metallic in color, and after reading and seeing this, I wanted one (white or red), Ended up with white, now want Red.
