I was going back home after a long day of work and 1 light before the freeway on ramp this black 350z lines up with me. He was looking at me like he wanted to race, but i knew we would hit traffic right after we got on the freeway. He took off kinda hard when the light turned green and i followed. He floored it on the on-ramp (its an uphill) and i did too. I had no problem keeping up with him but we had to slow down for traffic. He was weaving in and out of traffic but he wasnt getting away from me. I just stayed on the left lane without changing lanes once and passed him (i bet he must have felt stupid). Anywayz... traffic cleared up ahead and he was behind me. I turned on my emergency lights and he moved next to me. I smiled at him and raised 3 fingers, he nodded. I honked three times and we both floored it at about 75 mph. He started to pull on me and by the end of third he had 1 and a half car lenghts on me. When i hit forth he wasnt pulling anymore. We kept the same distance till about 120 when he shut it down.
I used to get smoked by 350Zs and G35s but now that i got my headers on I can keep up with them...
Oh btw, the 350Z looked and sounded stock. It was a fun race.

headers are the SHIT! i love the resonating growl when ur accelerating hard. but i have yet to race a 350z or the likes of one (g35). other than watch ur speed, watch ur back. at those speeds, pigs are ruthless. especially if u give them reason to be.

 

Yeah, I know its dangerous going so fast on the freeway. This freeway thou, is really empty and the exits are pretty far apart. Im talking about the 2 North in LA. The road is really clean and even.

There's no way you pulled 4 cars on him through 3rd and some of 4th if he has I/H/E. You (350z) should def. beat him, but I'd say by 2 cars or so. Now if juruki were stock, then I see that as a possibility. Regardless, nice win.

 

How fast are 350Z's / G35C's ??

 

they are quick. probably 14-15sec cars, the 350 being faster of the 2 (350/g).

yea im from lc too. I drive a 02 tl-s, you've probably seen me before, blacked out lights etc. Safe places uhm... depends what kind of speeds were talking about. A really good safe place really is right when you get on the 2 from the 210 going towards glendale. You can easily see if a cop is on it because theres only that connection from the 210. Then you race til before mountain street. A very long and good amount of freeway. Its almost impossible to get a ticket on that strech.

 

Yeah, I was thinking about the same place... Are you the red tl? what colour is you car? Any mods? I wanted to see the difference my headers made on my car. Im still not sure if i have a leak or if it is just resonance im hearing so if I could race you maybe i could find out? Anywayz we should all meet up and make a couple of runs. The red tl is my friends, I drive the black TL. Yea we can run also if you want, Ill probably lose, I have headers also, megan ones but for some reason my car is slower than all other tl's w/ mods, still havnt found out the problem.
