CL-S and CL-P
Whats the difference between a type s vs a premuim, meaning what make the type s come stock with 260 hp and the P with 225. Someone told me it was the pistons but if the piston is it (i know it has to me way more than that)couldnt I just change my pistons if that was the case? I know i will never get up to a type s unless i do a swap or a supercharger. But let me know if im wrong or if there is a way
The FAQ has more information than you want including this, not to mention this has been covered in more threads than are reasonable.
Mainly it is the intake but there are other things. Please look at the FAQ.

HIGH PERFORMANCE POWERTRAIN
Driving the all-new CL are two variations of Acura’s 3.2-liter
24-valve VTEC V-6 engine. The 3.2CL’s powerplant creates 225
hp, a 12.5-percent increase from the previous generation 3.0CL
coupe (200 hp). The high performance 3.2CL Type S produces
30-percent more horsepower than the previous 3.0CL with a class
leading 260 hp. This is achieved through an all-new, dual-stage air
induction system as well as numerous other performance
enhancements, resulting in increased power and torque without
increased engine displacement.
Both versions of the V6 engine transfer their power through an
electronically controlled 5-speed automatic transmission with the
Acura Sequential SportShift system. This sophisticated transmission,
similar to the one first introduced in the Acura NSX supercar,
provides smooth shifting and a refined driving experience with
uncompromised driver control.
High performance does not necessarily mean high levels of vehicle
emissions, as both the 3.2CL and Type S models meet tough LEV
(Low Emission Vehicle) standards while California models (3.2CL
only) meet ULEV (Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) standards.

so the main difference in the hp is the dual-stage air induction system and some other enhancements. If this is so why cant i get a dual stage air induction,

besides cracking into the block for higher compression pistons, you can make your engine just as good as a type s,(as powerful). It takes money but,If you want to go fast it takes money anyway.
Sure bolt ons wont get you beating fully modded cls 6's.some head work, cams, bigger intake with your bolt on and you will be surprising some S's.
Also boost for boost you can probally get a little more into yours properly tuned since you have lower compression.
S's might get you off the light but,you will get them on the big end of the 1/4 and thats where it counts.
Touching the botom end is a whole nother ball game.
Now The Type S owner's are ready to bash me.

higher compression, pistons, cams, intake manifold setup, bigger tb, ..... its cheapers to just swap out the engine and ecu rather than buying all the stuff separate.

u cant just plug in the s ecu. u need to do the whole conversion. u can just add the s manifold and tb or go all out and add the 09 tl sh awd intake manifold and the s tb. search for it on the cl side. great gains for the tl-p/cl-p.

nooo not a type s ecu i ment a aftermaket one and get a tune for it. And yea i heard someone on the zine did the 09 awd manifold conversion is that expensive and could i do that myself
u have to give something up to gain something. and it some cases u get better mpg with a tune bc ur mods are working like the should and less restrictive (intake, exhaust, pulley)
Im not sure if this was mentioned before, but the heads are different. The valves are smaller on the J32A1 heads compared to the J32A2 heads.
If you put the dual stage intake on you will need an RPM activated switch to open the IABs.
BTW, I have my old manifold for sale

The intake valves are 1 mm larger.
Now to answer your last question, yes there is a way. You can reach about 250 hp or so with headers, a cold air intake and a UR lightweight crank pulley. You'll love the sound and the performance, and if you do all the work these mods can be had for $350 to $450 or so. Start with that is my advice.
