CL-S acted like my old classic Beetle

I come back after a 2 week vacation and start the car up this morning. It starts up right away, but then suddenly shakes like a vibrating chair and stalls. I can't get it started for the next 3 minutes. I wait 5 min, try again and this time I step on the accel. a few times to keep from stalling. The entire garage is filled with so much white smoke and had a strong smell!

It idled just fine after a few minutes of that. Went for a drive, store. Came back, started up again normally. WTF was that? Normal for a car that hasn't been started for this long? I check under the hood and no weird stuff. I saw a drop of coolant at one of the small hoses around my AEM intake.....hmm wonder how long that's been there.

The combination of the white smoke, strong smell and coolant "near" the intake makes me suspicous that collant got into the intake tract somehow. I'd look into this further.

We had this happen a while ago. Not exact same circumstances, but similar. Anyway, we had it towed to the dealer because it was acting funny and they couldn't replicate the problem. 10k later there has been no further issues like this.

White smoke from exhaust. Tons of it. My bad. Not from the engine bay. No more after warmed up.

28k. Gonna take it for another drive and see what happens.

That drop of coolant from one of the intake hoses is probably minor. Probably just need to tighten the hose again.

Fill your petrol tank before leaving next time. Sounds like condensation to me. In the winter months I treat the 1/2 full mark on the guage as empty. Also the M/C and lawnmower are full w/added gas stabilizer for the winter months. YMMV.

This situation happened to me before also. I am guessing its something to do with fuel supply or something to do with that. Anyways, lately, i have bene always making sure i don't let the gas fall too low. and this problem has been reduced almost to 0. Although it still acts like it will stall, but never happened lately.

I recall one time i parked on a very slight inclined spot, and my fuel gauge was very empty the light was probably on. Anyways, couldn't really start the car, gassing it didn't really help. Anyways, tried to start it for 3 or 4 times, finally got it going, and drove th gas statoin immediately. So i really think leaving tank empty too long or too low cause this sort of problem.

I have a hard time believing it is bad gas .. my cls-6 just say for 3.5 weeks without being run .. and started right up .. and ran fine .. i'd have an easier time believen it is poor acura quality .. or some fault in the engine system ..
