cl-s 6speed vs 1.8t VW

my friend owns a GTI 1.8t volkswagon and i think its slightly modded with a chip to run 100 octane gas. i wanted to race and see who would win. i have a six speed cls, i;m pretty sure his car has a bit more power than mine just wanted to know if i would be able to hold my own there.

I have a VW, from a dig, he will get you with torque, but once you guys get going past 2nd gear, you should woop his ass.

First if all, this is the wrong place to post this thread, but since it is here anyway... I posted a thread under the "racing and competition" section.

I have a slightly modded CLS-6, and I did pull on a 1.8T, but I was surprised how close it was. You should have him... but not by a mile... it will be close. Don't miss a shift

^^ I figured he wouldn't have much torque until the turbo starts building pressure ?

I've driven my friends 12 sec. Evo VIII, and at the jump feels like a dog, but once the boost comes on, woaaaah man.

Different setup on the VW I'm sure.

Haha... It's a good idea to not pick a username that had doesn't have the car you own in it. I think Fuzzy02CLS is on his 2nd 03 CLS

You can PM astro with a usename change tho' (and keep your postcount).
