today i raced my friend in his 1991 q45, i think it's something like 4.3L V8 with about 280 hp. Something around there. Should the cl-p be able to take it? I was about half a car behind. Thanks.

but how heavy is the q45?


btw i lost to a (chipped) 1.8 T GTI, so i kno (first-hand) that hp doesn't determine everything..but that's a pretty big gap there

1st gen Q45's (no grille) are 4.5L, 278hp, & 4000lbs. 0-60 was in the high 6's. 2nd gen Q45's (bling bling chrome grille) were the same car, but more weight and taller gears (I swear you could hit 60 mph in 1st) made it much slower. 3rd gen (is that a Caprice?) had a downsized engine (4.1L, 260 hp) and even more weight. Glad to see Infiniti is finally coming around with the 4th gen car (hp & performance are back up to where they were in the early 90's).

My friend's 1990 Q with intake and exhaust regularly beats up on brand new 330i's....
