How's everyone doing? Just wanted to say hello for my first post and look forward to educating myself on our car and what mods would be the best for me.

My car is a 01 CL type S, on it's second transmission (no problems yet), and I'm the second owner. I want to fix it up a little cosmetically like PDR, refurbish my rims, and tints. Then go in and do some mods.

Paint looks really fresh...very nice! Another GTA member is good. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. Are you going to do performance mods or cosmetic? or both?

 

Cosmetic wise I'm thinking about blacking out the chrome, some ronjon or bbs rims and getting the stock spoiler we'll see nothing too crazy, but mostly performance mods. Thanks for all the comments on the paint, I two step polished it which took me about 10 hours so it's really nice to see the comments.

The woodbine meet was just last saturday. Only 3 cl's there. Me, TypeStylin, and PaiGow or something like that. It was a little weak. We should set something up.

 

Only 3 CL's, ouch!!! Would definitely love to be part of a CL GTA meet, Sundays are mostly my free days.

 

Id make it out..

 

I thought the woodbine meet was on the long weekend the whole time otherwise I would have shown up with another CL.

Next time.

Hey another 01 CL-S from 1.5 east of toronto, i very seldom(hardly ever) see cl's. i think a meet should be organized, wouldnt mind seeing a who slew of em.

If someone picks a date i'm in....a sunday a few weeks from now would be good. I have some headers on the way and rims too.......so i'd like to have them on if we meet up....June 22? I'm going away for a few weeks after that.

 

gnuts, seeing as your getting new rims, if you were thinking about getting rid of your stock rims, ill buy them, seeing as they are the sexy 03 cl-s rims.

 

Well One rims has some decent rash on it. Another one a little bit, the other two are really good. Tires have lots of tread. Not sure if you'd still want them. I can pm you some pics if you want. I was looking to get snow tires anyways, so i wouldn't have any use for the stockies.

 

well if you could only see my rims, all 4 of them are brutal, so anything is better.

I polished it using a rotory polisher (a makita 9227), Meguiars foam pads, and a medium compound (Meguairs #83). I then finished with a dual action polisher (porter cable 7424) because of the soft paint it's hard to finish without leaving buffer trails and a finishing polish (Menzerna PO106FF). Then finally wax.

To be honest my friend if you want your paint to look fresh I suggest researching on the internet about polishing first before you do it or get a professional detailer to do it but ask to see some of their work first. I would be more then happy to do it for you if your in the GTA area.

I think I'm gonna do a write up about my whole detailing process so you guys can see it from beginning to end. I really appreciate all the comments I've been getting on my paint.

 

Ya i painted the whole cover to match the car. Came out pretty good. Dressed it up a bit. And i debadged the 3.2CL-S off the back.

 

Just jealous.
