Check out the roof mechanism on the new SL

http://mbspy.bacosys.be/r230roof.htm

It only takes 16 sec (compared to the 25 sec on the super-ugly Lexus SC) to close or open the new Mercedes SL roof. This fast mechanism will make the transformation much easier and more attempting while stopping on traffic lights. Notice how the rear window pivots to provide the maximum trunk space while folded in. This car also features the industry-first all electrical servo brake system, which will provide much better stopping power with control. It even has back up regular hydraulic brake power in case the electric servo fails. With its soon-to-come AMG model with minimum of 450hp engine, more aggressive AMG body style and full carbon fiber trim, this is my new dream car now, sorry Ferrari... The Mercedes/AMG insiders confirmed that this AMG version of SL will be designed to compete and beat the BMW Z8, Ferrari 360 convertible, Aston Martin or even Bentley convertible. For next 10 years, this new SL will again rule the upper luxury convertible market.

An SL has always been my dream car, and now with this one, DAMN!

Hopefully I'll be able to afford one sometime, the sooner the better.
