Check out this horsepower increasing mod!!

I'm reading Autoweekend from the Washington Times and lo and behold there is data from independent tests that examined a device called the Tornado. For 69$ you get a device that, by their testimony, acts by creatinga turbocharging effect of sorts that increases gas milege by up to 24%.

But, the kicker is the following data from the independent tests:

A horsepower increase on a 1991 Honda 1.5liter of TWENTY HP!!!

They also got 12 horsepower increase on a 1996 Pontiac 3.4L engine. Both engines had a 10% increase in fuel economoy.

Their website is www.tornadoair.com.

Very interesting. Extra horsepower plus fuel economy. I must look into this further.

Also check out mpgbooster.com. They got a 36.7% increase in fuel efficiency from a 2001 GMC Yukon with 5 extra horses. This one is 199.95 though.

This device is garbage pure and simple. Think about it how is clogging your intake with anything going to increase your power?

Also it was tested by SCC on a dyno and by C&D on a 5 series BMW on a closed oval track. Absolutely no increase in Power or MPG.

Actually the only way it would increase MPG would be by the fact that your wallet is now lighter by whatever it costs and as we all know decreasing weight is key to increasing speed and MPG.

Looks like a great idea. I wonder if twirling air really does produce better performance? Kinda reminds me of that other company with the electric blower thing.

I wonder if they make one for the type-s

Somebody buy this and check it out. It should fit right into the coupler of the AEM intake.

One thing that is interesting though is that many of their tested vehicels are older. I wonder if newer cars have better flow dynamics.

This reminds me a little of the way Suzuki motorcycles used some sort of a swirl chamber to charge the air to make much more power.

Hey, what the heck. It's only 69 bucks.

Yeah, I just saw an infomercial about it so I now know for sure it's a joke.

I wonder if it does help older engines though. It really is surprising how many magazines have tested it with good results.
