The Z06 now basically compares with a 360, the C6 won't be out for at least 2 years......we'll see.
The 03 Cobra is very cool, but the new Stang is coming in 04 (with a rumored 400hp for the Cobra).

I really like the 03 Cobra and will probably trade my CLS for it. The only thing that bothers me is the supercharger in my 1990 Thunderbird was used up after 70k miles. Maybe they've worked that out since 1990?!

jesus christ!! that car is rated at 390 hp to the flywheel and it dynos at 385???? WHY CANT OUR CAR ONLY LOSE 5 HP??? sheesh...that motor must be under-rated by at least 30 HP...maybe so people can get cheaper insurance..over 400 hp must be a different category in insurance or something

I am pretty sure that Ford did not want to get itself in the same mess as it did a couple of years ago, by overstating the Cobra HP. It looks as though it gave itself a whole lot of leeway. It is running 12's stock. With very few mods, you will see 11's. That is damn fast for a $34,000.00 car.

Ford knows how much attention the 03 Cobra is getting and the great things people are saying about it. Now that the F body is gone, Ford has itself a real niche market all to themselves basically, the Pontiac GTO would be its closest competitor (to the regular Mustang V8). They definitely will not fuck up the 04 Mustang, it will be totally bad ass.

Purportedly, the Cobra will get one high-performance component so far found only on the most exotic of imported high-performance machinery: a version of the Formula One-style sequential steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifter developed for the Aston Martin Vanquish. Manual gearboxes for the Cobra and GT, whether F1-style or conventional, will have six gears. The Aston sequential gearshift is said to be better developed than other such designs, including Ferrari's.

Most likely in the Spring of 04 or fall of 05, will come out as an 05 though. The Z06 is supposidely going to fall in the 430hp-450hp territory (not going to be leaps and bounds ahead of the standard C6)....the Z06 should have monster torque though.
