Check Engine Light
No, it is not on. Well, right now anyway. But this is about something different.
Has anyone ever looked at the symbol? It is a looks like a classic V8 motor with a carburetor and a crank driven cooling fan. I was looking at it while waiting in line to make a deposit at the bank. I guess what really caught my eye was the 'T' on top of it looking like a filter on top of a carburetor and then I noticed the fan.
Just some senseless aspect of our cars.

ive noticed almost all check engine lights look like that. i guess it is a universal symbol. unless it only says CHECK ENGINE. that is popular too.

I agree, it seems almost universal, but maybe it is time to update it. I wonder if they use the same symbol on a fully electric vehicle.
