Changing the Roadlamps

Do I have to take the whole splash/weather guard off or can I just take on screw thing off and bend it back?

Are you just changing the bulb or replacing the whole assembly?

Once you remove that whole roadlamp housing by unscrewing a single screw holding it in, you only need to twist open the bulb socket and replace the bulb. There's nothing to bend back.

You can access the screw by inside the lower grill. Shine a flashlight in there and use a long screwdriver (phillips I believe). Then the housing just pops out.

Easy Bulb Change

I just reached up underneath the bumper and twisted to change mine - no screws - just pops right out....

Maybe mine are broken? They work fine.

You must have really skinny hands. I can barely fit my fat hands where you're talking about.

BTW - for those who are still having trouble locating the screw...

In the pic below, if you put your finger where the arrow points to, you will feel a cutout in the inner edge of the grill. You can also see the screw cutout if you look close enough with a flashlight. The same is true for the other side.

Same here, I just recently removed the front license plate which left some indentations and scuffing. Fortunately, it's not too noticeable.

I would imagine LEDs would be bright within the housing, but wouldn't project much light on to the road.

No - I wish I could remember....

They're available at your local parts store most likely. I picked mine up at autozone for like 4.00 or something. They're not bright, and you can see the bulbs - but it creates kind of a neat look.
