I noticed on ACP.com that there are numerous head gaskets for sale and was wondering if anyone here has put it a thinner gasket to raise the compression a bit further for more power.

What are the pros and cons of this mod?

 

how about some ground wires that incrrease the performance by few HP?

Hopefully the design of head gasket is of high quality or could have increased chance of blowing the head gasket! Would probably increase power if thinner but why try and chance a blown head gasket? Better to mill the heads and block!

 

I don't think changing gaskets will do anything for compression. Port, & polish, & new cam would.

 

How much does a Port and Polish cost?

 

I had mine done in dec. cost $800.00 increase 10.5 hp 6.5 torque
