I saw the commerical last night where the Celica is parked at the curb and you hear an officer on a speaker telling them to pull over. The cop then comes flying into the picture and stops and stares at the car. Then he drives off.

Maybe...but this kit looks really nice for a factory kit...the install is also covered by warrenty and (as opposed to aftermarket kits) won't void your lease.

An aftermarket kit doesn't void your lease either...and if I remember correctly...they were selling the TRD kits for Celicas for what $8k!?! <---note: I could be wrong...

It's so easy to kill the looks of a car. That wing is fugly, have you seen the "hood spoilers" that they offer for the Celica. It's unbeleivable, the things that people will actually put on their cars.

The TRD kit is very expensive (around $4k)....what I want to know is, is the kit able to be residualized- if it isn't, there will be very few takers if the car is a lease.

No...I don't think it will hurt anything. But what will happen is that the dealer will give you some BS about how much harder it is to sell the vehicle...but that he'll do you a favor and not charge you for it....1-2 weekd later...you'll see the same salesperson selling the car to a 16 yr old kid and telling him look at the sporty packaging and blah blah blah!!!

Like any other business- sales, services, etc....some are better than others- obviously dealers want to make the most $$ possible (I can appreciate that), but some just BS you more than others, because some I have dealt with have been excellent.

If you come off like you know what your talking about- you should be in a good position for not being taken advantage of....and that goes for anything expensive you buy.
